Since we are the topic of the rules, I want to know why the rules are NOT uniformly enforced. For example, our neighbor has had his personal water craft sitting at the end of his driveway probably since May. Now, correct me if I am wrong but is that not a violation of these rules? And why is it still there? I don't care that it's there, and frankly I think that the rule about no boats or RV's or other recreational vehicles in your driveway is ridiculous. What's the big deal? You can park them in Dutch Meadows, Country Knolls, Clifton Knolls, etc. and these are neighborhoods with higher market values than Luther Forest.
Continuing on this topic of non uniform rule enforcement, there is a rule that says your garbage can must be out of view from the street by I think it's 9:00 a.m. the morning following garbage pick up. Well, our neighbors two doors down leave their can out all week. Our other neighbor across the street puts his behind a bush which I can plainly see from my house. I don't really care what people do with their garbage cans to be perfectly honest with you, but this really made me mad. I was leaving for work one morning and realized that the can was down by the road. So I pulled it up and tucked it in the corner where the house and garage meet becausae I was running late and couldn't run back inside to open the garage door. I get home at 4:30, and put it in the garage. Out of sight. So, the next day I get a letter from the association, telling me that my garbage can was left out by the road and that if I have moved it to disregard it.
Now give me a break. It was up by my house for a few hours longer than it was supposed to be and I get this stupid letter. Is this what I pay association fees for? What a waste. I could see if the can was still down by the road for a couple of days, then send a letter, but a few hours. It's just absurd. Actually, it's harassment to be quite honest with you. And if it happens again, I will file harassment charges believe me. I am not putting up with this kind of singling out when other people are horrible violators of these rules and it goes unnoticed and unattended to.
And, why is it when you call Diamond Realty you never get to speak to a human, and when you leave a message no one calls you back?
I would like to know when they are going to revise the rules because I would certainly like to voice my opinion. If I am paying association dues then I want to have a say in what I can and can not do.
